11.22.2016 – New Testament: Jam 4.13–14
To read the Bible in a year, read James 4 on November 22, In the year of our Lord 2016

Do you know what will happen tomorrow? If you do not, do you live as though you do? Listen to James speak to business people,
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away (James 4.13–14).
We might die tomorrow. In fact, the day will arrive when it could be said that the next day you will die. We may not know that day, but the Lord does. If we do not know it, should not we make our plans contingent on the Lord’s will?
- When you make plans, do you consider that the Lord has ultimate control?
- How often do you pray to the Lord about your plans?
