12.15.2016 – New Testament: Rev 6.1
To read the Bible in a year, read Revelation 6 on December 15, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
After John learned that the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, was worthy to take and to open the seven-sealed scroll from the hand of the Father on the throne, John then tells us that he was invited to see something,
Now I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals; and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a voice like thunder, “Come and see” (Revelation 6.1).
The Lamb began to break open the seals, opening each one and letting a scene play out before He opened the next one. See yourself as John, seeing Jesus take the scroll from the Father, then opening the first seal. Would not the anticipation captivate you? Then, one of the living creatures whom you saw around the throne, speaks up, and I mean speaks up, sounding like thunder, and invites you to, “Come and see.” What would you see?
- Have you noticed all the loud sounds in the Book of Revelation before?
- What do you expect the voice of God to sound like?
