John heard many loud noises in heaven, but suddenly silence fell upon heaven for about half an hour. That would get anyone’s attention. Why did everything go silent? What is about to happen? John showed us what he saw next,

And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets (Revelation 8.2). 

He saw that seven angels stand before God, and to these angels someone gave them trumpets, but they do not sound the trumpets yet. What is going on? We know that with the trumpets they shall announce something, but what is it?
