12.19.2016 – New Testament: Rev 10.5–6
To read the Bible in a year, read Revelation 10 on December 19, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
John saw an angel standing with one foot on the sea and the other foot on the Earth. The angel cried out like a lion, and the seven thunders in response spoke. The angel spoke again,
The angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised up his hand to heaven and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be delay no longer… (Revelation 10.5–6).
Something had been on delay, but God ordered this angel to announce that the delay had ended.
The angel raised up his hand to Heaven and look by whom he swore: He swore by the one who lives forever and ever, who created Heaven, the Earth, and the sea, and all things in them. He swore that the delay would last no longer.
We do not know all that the God of Heaven does, but we do know that He has all things in His control.
Questions:
- Do you believe that God has the world under His control?
- How should that belief affect your life?
