Amazingly, the people of God had so strayed from Him that they became His enemy. He said,

“Lately My people have risen up as an enemy—
You pull off the robe with the garment
From those who trust you, as they pass by,
Like men returned from war.
The women of My people you cast out
From their pleasant houses;
From their children
You have taken away My glory forever.”
(Micah 2.8–9)

By becoming His enemy, they had taken away His glory, because how He worked with the nation, such as the manner in which He brought them out of Egypt, showed His wonders, causing people to glorify Him. Then when Israel became His enemy, He could no longer work for them, but against them, and that took away from His glory, and that in turn took away their glory.

Questions:

  • How much have you made God a part of your life?
