12.20.2016 – New Testament: Rev 11.13
To read the Bible in a year, read Revelation 11 on December 20, In the year of our Lord 2016
By Don Ruhl
The Lord has two witnesses on the Earth, the Scriptures and the church, but the world does not like either one of them. Therefore, when the world can put them down, the world rejoices. Then the Lord calls them into Heaven, and see what happens when they depart,
In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven (Revelation 11.13).
The world thinks it would be better for the church and the Bible to disappear, but the world does not know for what it hopes. For the Earth no longer to have God’s people and God’s Book around, would bring horrible consequences, represented by the earthquake.
- Why is the world better off with the Scriptures and the church on the Earth?
- What can you do to insure that the church and the Scriptures stay here?
- Are you doing it?
