Abraham’s nephew, Lot, lived in Sodom, yet, the Lord indicated that He was about to destroy the city of Sodom, and some other cities with it.
And Abraham came near and said, “Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked?” (Genesis 18.23).
To Abraham, destroying the wicked and the righteous together as though they were the same, did not seem right. Therefore, he wanted to know how the Lord would deal with the righteous who might be in the city. Does the Lord make a distinction between the righteous and the wicked? Yes, we can know that He knows everyone who follows the Lord Jesus Christ.
