How many masters do you have?

Who do we allow to rule our lives? We cannot have multiple answers, but we can allow only one master. Who will it be? Jesus taught,

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon” (Matthew 6.24).

Someone may have rule over us against our wishes, but Jesus addressed whom we view as our master. Who or what do we believe can make our lives better or worse? Whom or what have we allowed into our hearts as the master of our lives?

Some people want God as their Master, but they also want mammon or money to bless their lives. Watch out, you cannot serve both, for you will eventually give one the dominant position.

Questions:

  • So who is the master of your life?
  • Do you believe that if you had more money, your life could be what you wish that it would be?
