To read the Bible in a year, read Judges 15–17 on April 5, In the year of our Lord 2017

Samson performed feats of strength that he could have only received from the Lord, such as this incident,
When the Gazites were told, “Samson has come here!” they surrounded the place and lay in wait for him all night at the gate of the city. They were quiet all night, saying, “In the morning, when it is daylight, we will kill him.” And Samson lay low till midnight; then he arose at midnight, took hold of the doors of the gate of the city and the two gateposts, pulled them up, bar and all, put them on his shoulders, and carried them to the top of the hill that faces Hebron (Judges 16.2–3).
Perhaps someone says that the doors and and the gateposts were small. Okay, let us assume they were. Do you know anyone who could perform such a feat, separating these items from the wall and pulling them up out of the ground?
Later the story shows that the Lord gave Samson this strength because of his Nazirite vow.
- What has the Lord enabled you to do?
- Or what could you have not done without His help?
