To read the Bible in a year, read Second Chronicles 7–9 on June 2, In the year of our Lord 2017

After Solomon offered a wonderful prayer to the Lord for the dedication of the temple, the Lord later appeared to Solomon, saying in part,
“Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this house, that My name may be there forever; and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually” (2 Chronicles 7.15–16).
Solomon prayed according to the will of the Lord, and He gave what Solomon requested. The Lord loves His people and loves to hear them speak to Him, and He gladly fulfills their requests according to His will.
Questions:
- Do you pray for what you want or for what the Lord wants?
- Do you know what the Lord wants?
