To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 4.1–22 on June 19, In the year of our Lord 2017

Peter and John by the power of Jesus and the Holy Spirit healed a man who had been lame since birth. However, the Jewish leaders did not approve, because the apostles kept teaching and preaching the name of Jesus. Therefore, they arrested the apostles and threatened them. However, Luke also wrote,
So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way of punishing them, because of the people, since they all glorified God for what had been done. For the man was over forty years old on whom this miracle of healing had been performed (Acts 4.21–22).
Even if the man had walked earlier in his life, but then lost that ability for some reason, he could not suddenly start walking again. Something wonderful would have to take place. In this case, it was the power of God, and the people knew it, and they glorified God!
- Do you glorify God for good things that happen?
- If you do not, why not?
