06.29.2017 – New Testament: Acts 9.17
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 9.1–22 on June 29, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Although Ananias was apprehensive about approaching Saul of Tarsus to heal him of blindness and to baptize him into Christ, notice how Ananias addressed Saul,
And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit” (Acts 9.17).
Calling him “brother,” showed that Ananias accepted Saul, that he wanted to accept Saul and that he was not cutting him off.
- Do you come across with a spirit of acceptance toward people?
- What do you think of people who are ready to accept you?
