07.03.2017 – New Testament: Acts 11.16–17
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 11 on July 3, In the year of our Lord 2017

As Peter explained to some Jewish members of the church why he went to the home of a Gentile, he concluded,
“Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how He said, ‘John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit.’ If therefore God gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that I could withstand God?” (Acts 11.16–17).
Peter saw the evidence, and knew that God accepted Gentiles who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, even as God accepts Jews who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Shall anyone dare confront God about His actions? We do well to accept whom God accepts and reject whom He rejects.
- Do you disagree with God on any issue?
- Do you think you can do a better job of operating the universe than He does?
