07.03.2017 – Old Testament: Job 27.13–23
To read the Bible in a year, read Job 26–28 on July 3, In the year of our Lord 2017

As Job reasoned with his friends, he wanted them to think of what the wicked receive from God,
“This is the portion of a wicked man with God,
And the heritage of oppressors, received from the Almighty:
If his children are multiplied, it is for the sword;
And his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.
Those who survive him shall be…”
Yet, they knew the kind of life that he had led and they knew of his prosperity. He was hoping that they would see him as a righteous man and not as a wicked man, but it is hard to change people’s opinion once they have settled on one because of their preconceived ideas.
- Do you have preconceived ideas?
- Why do you think other people suffer?
