08.08.2017 – Old Testament: Psa 82.5
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 82–84 on August 8, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Psalm 82 is about judges. Sometimes judges do not judge according to righteousness. Why is that? Psalm 82 says,
They do not know, nor do they understand;
They walk about in darkness;
All the foundations of the earth are unstable.
(Psalm 82.5)
They do not live by the light of God’s word, but they live in the world’s darkness, and that is why they rule as they do. This does not speak of all judges, but it certainly does when judges do not do their job.
Questions:
- Do you base your life on what a judge says or on what God says?
- Have you seen yourself coming out of the darkness the more you read the Bible?
we have bad judges and we know who is putting them there
