Would you not agree that the following is true? Concerning the fool, “The words of his mouth begin with foolishness, and the end of his talk is raving madness” (Ecclesiastes 10.13). If you have observed that, perhaps you have also seen what Solomon said next,
A fool also multiplies words.
No man knows what is to be;
Who can tell him what will be after him?
A fool multiplies his words because he thinks he knows everything, including what will happen tomorrow. He thinks his much talking proves that he knows.
- If a fool multiplies words, what should the wise do?
- Have you speculated about what would happen tomorrow, but it did not come to pass?
