With the new, we shall forget the old

Isaiah Bible Background

10.10.2017 – Old Testament: Isa 43.18–21

To read the Bible in a year, read Isaiah 43–44 on October 10, In the year of our Lord 2017

By Don Ruhl

Unfortunately, humanity eventually ruins the good things that the God of heaven gives us, but when we turn to Him, he will make things new,

“Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.
Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;
Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert.
The beast of the field will honor Me,
The jackals and the ostriches,
Because I give waters in the wilderness
And rivers in the desert,
To give drink to My people, My chosen.
This people I have formed for Myself;
They shall declare My praise.”
(Isaiah 43.18–21).

Things from God became old because of man’s sin, but He who made everything, in the beginning, can renew or make new whatever He desires. However, we have to be a people formed for Him who declare His praises.

Questions:

  • Does your life praise the Creator?
  • What new things do you want to see?
