10.19.2017 – New Testament: 2Th 2.16–17
To read the Bible in a year, read Second Thessalonians 2 on October 19, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Paul enjoyed numerous blessings as a Christian and he wanted the rest of the world to experience those blessings too. He especially wanted those blessings for the churches,
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work (2 Thessalonians 2.16–17).
Love, everlasting consolation, good hope, grace, comfort, these are some of the blessings we enjoy as Christians, and Paul wished for these upon the Thessalonian congregation.
- Do you wish that God would bless others as He has blessed you?
- When you think of God’s blessings, do you think of material things or spiritual things?
