Be impartial

1 Timothy Bible Background

10.25.2017 – New Testament: 1Ti 5.21

To read the Bible in a year, read First Timothy 5 on October 25, In the year of our Lord 2017

Preachers are like all people. They have good friends and others that they just do not enjoy being around. Therefore, preachers can become partial in their work, but Paul warned against it,

I charge you before God and the Lord Jesus Christ and the elect angels that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing with partiality (1 Timothy 5.21).

God, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels all notice whether we show partiality or not. It seems like a good idea then, that we do nothing with partiality.

Questions:

  • Do you only want to be around your family or friends?
  • How do you treat people you have just met?
