11.03.2017 – New Testament: Phm 17
To read the Bible in a year, read Philemon on November 3, In the year of our Lord 2017
By Don Ruhl
Paul converted a runaway servant who belonged to a friend of Paul’s, Philemon. Paul wrote to Philemon to receive Onesimus back, appealing to Philemon’s heart, saying,
If then you count me as a partner, receive him as you would me (Philemon 17).
Don’t you just love the spirit of Paul and how he anticipated Philemon having the same spirit? Should it not be that way with our fellow Christians?
It is also interesting that Onesimus was willing to go back to Philemon, who was now his brother in Christ?
