Watch out for anything that seeks to pull your attention away from the word of God. Jesus spoke a parable that showed just how bad this can be. In the parable He spoke of a sower who sowed seed on the ground and as the plant started to grow, other plants also grew and choked out the plant. He explained,
“For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him” (Mark 4.25).
It happens this way in the spirit because those who have, do something with it, and those who do not have, do not seek to improve themselves and so what little they do have, they lose.
- Are you improving yourself spiritually?
- What are you doing to improve yourself in that way?
