How much warfare has the land of Israel seen? Believe it or not, the land has experienced rest many times over the centuries. During the days of King Asa, the Bible says:

So Abijah rested with his fathers, and they buried him in the City of David. Then Asa his son reigned in his place. In his days the land was quiet for ten years (2 Chronicles 14.1).

I supposed ten years may not seem like much, but if your nation has experienced war constantly over the centuries, you will enjoy whatever peace and rest you can get.

  • Would you picture yourself as a person of peace?
  • What do you to do make peace in the world?
