To read the Bible in a year, read Philippians 3 on October 7, In the year of our Lord 2018
By Don Ruhl
Many Christians do not believe in the bodily resurrection, but if the body is not raised, it is not a resurrection. Many Christians have evidently not read the Scriptures carefully, because the Bible announces plainly that there shall be a bodily resurrection:
[Jesus] will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself (Philippians 3.21).
He will raise our bodies on the last great day of earth, but He will also change our bodies to match the one that He has now (Revelation 1 gives you a picture of it).
Questions:
- If you think it is not a bodily resurrection, what do you believe will be raised from the dead?
- Are you prepared right now for Jesus to return?
