You have just received a letter from John the apostle. You begin reading it and he declares his love for you and then says:

Grace, mercy, and peace will be with you from God the Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love (2 John 3).

How would that affect you to read that John granted grace, mercy, and peace upon you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, and that it was all in truth and love?
