01.20.2019 – Old Testament: Gen 47.11–12
To read the Bible in a year, read Genesis 46–48 on January 20, In the year of our Lord Christ 2019
By Don Ruhl
Joseph had not seen his family in 22 years, and although his brothers had treated him shamefully, hating him terribly, he could still see God’s hand in the whole affair and saw that God used him to provide for his family, and so that is precisely what he did:
And Joseph situated his father and his brothers, and gave them a possession in the land of Egypt, in the best of the land, in the land of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded. Then Joseph provided his father, his brothers, and all his father’s household with bread, according to the number in their families (Genesis 47.11–12).
And it is not just that he provided for them, but he gave them the best! Joseph has to be one of the most wonderful characters in all of history.

- What keeps you from being like him?
