04.09.2019 – New Testament: Luke 12.22–24
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 12.1–34 on April 9, In the year of our Lord Christ 2019
By Don Ruhl
Do you worry? How much good does it do? I think we worry sometimes because we believe that shows we care, but it does not make things magically appear, does it? Do you believe Jesus is Lord? If so, listen to what He taught, and accept it and live it as the truth:
Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?”
– Luke 12.22–24
Since Jesus said not to worry, why not live a worry-free life simply because He said to do it? It is simply a matter of trust. We have to trust that He spoke the truth, and that things will happen as He said that they will happen.
- Do you trust Jesus?
- Do you believe God will provide the necessities of life?
