Old Testament: 1Ki 22.1
To read the Bible in a year, read First Kings 21–22 on May 10, In the year of our Lord Christ 2019

Syria shows up in the Scriptures often, both Old and New Testaments. Most of that time they have been enemies. Notice this interesting statement:
Now three years passed without war between Syria and Israel.
– 1 Kings 22.1
They fought so often that the Bible noted during the reign of Ahab that the two nations had gone without war for three years! That might have seemed like a long time to them, but to us, we say, Three years!
Heaven will surely be wonderful because war shall not find a home there. May the Lord hasten the time when we shall be there.
- Why did Syria and Israel fight often?
- Do you have someone with whom you disagree often?
- If so, why?
