New Testament: Acts 26.21–23
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 26 on July 26, In the year of our Lord Christ 2019
By Don Ruhl
As Paul explained to King Agrippa why he started following Jesus and preached in His name, he told the king why the Jews persecuted him. Then the apostle stated:
“For these reasons the Jews seized me in the temple and tried to kill me. Therefore, having obtained help from God, to this day I stand, witnessing both to small and great, saying no other things than those which the prophets and Moses said would come—that the Christ would suffer, that He would be the first to rise from the dead, and would proclaim light to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.”
– Acts 26.21–23
Paul gave all the glory to God for being able to stand before King Agrippa, and not by Paul’s own strength or endurance.
Should we not all say the same thing? Why is it that you have survived to this very hour? You have obtained help from God. Glorify Him for it!
- Do you thank God for helping you in life?
- How do you glorify Him?
