What it means if you serve Christ

Romans Bible Background

New Testament: Rom 14.18

To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 14 on August 15, In the year of our Lord Christ 2019

By Don Ruhl

Paul taught us to receive one another and not that we may dispute about doubtful things. He explained that matters of food and observance of days, for example, do not make us more approved before the Lord than other people. He said further:

For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.

– Romans 14.18

When you receive your fellow Christians, you are serving Christ, and that makes you acceptable to God and approved among men.

Questions:

  • What is greater than serving Christ?
  • If we serve Christ, should not His likes and dislikes be paramount in our lives?
