08.24.2019 – Old Testament: Psa 121.5–8
To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 120–123 on August 24, In the year of our Lord 2019
By Don Ruhl
The psalmist said that he would look to the hills, looking for his help, but then confessed that his help came from the Lord who made the heaven and the earth. Then the psalmist listed ways in which the Lord helps, including what verses 5–8 say:
The LORD is your keeper;
The LORD is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
Nor the moon by night.
The LORD shall preserve you from all evil;
He shall preserve your soul.
The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.– Psalm 121.5–8
That is why I look to the Lord!
Questions:
- Why do you consider the Lord your help?
- Do you thank the Lord for the help He gives you?
