New Testament: Phi 2.27
To read the Bible in a year, read Philippians 2 on October 6, In the year of our Lord Christ 2019
By Don Ruhl
One of Paul’s fellow-workers was sick, Epaphroditus, and if he had died, it would have been a blow to Paul, hurting his evangelistic team. However, he said:
For indeed he was sick almost unto death; but God had mercy on him, and not only on him but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow.
– Philippians 2.27
See how Paul saw Epaphroditus’s recovery as God showing both him and Paul mercy? We experience much sorrow on this earth, but there might be times when you could have had even more sorrow, but God had mercy on you, and limited it!
Questions:
- Do you see God at work in your life?
- How has He been working in you?
