New Testament: Phi 3.1
To read the Bible in a year, read Philippians 3 on October 7, In the year of our Lord Christ 2019
By Don Ruhl
Paul explained to the Philippian Church:
Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. For me to write the same things to you is not tedious, but for you it is safe.
– Philippians 3.1
Some of what Paul said in the Letter to the Philippians he had told them before. To him, that was no problem and for them, it was safe. There may have been new members of the church since he left and they needed to hear all the truth that Paul delivered to the church. Even if no new members had been brought in, the current members still needed to hear some things again, because people forget! Therefore, do not tire with the repetition, but know that it is keeping you safe.
