New Testament: Luke 21.32–33
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 21.20–38 on April 28, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020
By Don Ruhl
After Jesus prophesied of the destruction of Jerusalem, He assured His disciples that what He had said would happen by saying:
“Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”
– Luke 21.32–33
His word, whether revealing the destruction of the city of Jerusalem or whether He speaks on any other topic, will come to pass because His word is more enduring than heaven and earth.
Questions:
- What do you know about the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70?
- Did heaven and earth produce the words of Jesus or did the words of Jesus produce heaven and earth?
