David wrote a psalm in praise of the Lord for saving him out of every trouble in his life. In his 70 years, David faced death constantly, but he always made it through alive, leading him to write a magnificent psalm, part of which says:
“For You are my lamp, O LORD;
The LORD shall enlighten my darkness.
For by You I can run against a troop;
By my God I can leap over a wall.
As for God, His way is perfect;
The word of the LORD is proven;
He is a shield to all who trust in Him.”
– 2 Samuel 22.29–31
David knew of what he spoke, for he had experienced the things for which he praised God. David knew that with the Lord on his side, he could not lose and that he could do anything that the Lord wanted him to do.
- How was the word of the Lord proven in David’s life?
- How is it with you and God?
