Old Testament: 1Ch 24.20–30
To read the Bible in a year, read First Chronicles 23–25 on May 28, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020

David, along with some other leading men, divided up the Levites because they had grown so much in number, that they needed organization for when to serve. At the end of that organizing, the Bible says:
And the rest of the sons of Levi: of the sons of Amram, Shubael; of the sons of Shubael, Jehdeiah. Concerning Rehabiah, of the sons of Rehabiah, the first was Isshiah…These were the sons of the Levites according to their fathers’ houses.
– 1 Chronicles 24.20–30
God loves organization and order, as is evident in the natural world that He created. Some people think that spiritual things are just, “feel it as you go along,” but what David did in bringing order to the Levites pleased the God of heaven.
- Who was the first?
- How are you at organizing things?
