New Testament: Rom 1.24–25
To read the Bible in a year, read Romans 1 on July 31, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020
By Don Ruhl
God has provided evidence of his existence, but he has also made it so that if a person refuses to see the evidence, he will let them pursue the unholy life that they want:
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
– Romans 1.24–25
When men follow the lusts of their hearts, they will dishonor their bodies. That is what happens when people exchange the truth of God for the lie that he does not exist. They will do things such as worshiping and serving creatures, whereas God created those people to worship and to serve him, because he is blessed forever.
Questions:
- What pictures do you get in your mind when you read that passage from Romans 1?
- Why is God blessed forever?
