Rejoice and Glory

Psalms Bible Background

Old Testament: Psa 63.11

To read the Bible in a year, read Psalms 62–64 on July 31, In the year of our Lord Christ 2020

By Don Ruhl

Those who sought the life of King David would fall (Psalm 63.9–10), but David knew what he would do:

But the king shall rejoice in God;
Everyone who swears by Him shall glory;
But the mouth of those who speak lies shall be stopped.

– Psalm 63.11

David always had his eyes on God. Therefore, he always won. He always did well. He could not be defeated.

Questions:

  • Are your eyes on God through every part of your life?
  • What will happen to the mouth of liars?
