New Testament: Matt 7.26–27
To read the Bible in a year, read Matthew 7 on January 8, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021

Most people look at the Bible and Jesus as merely options among many other equal options in life, but he is the Lord of heaven and earth. Therefore, ignoring him will one day be catastrophic, as he himself warned:
“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
– Matthew 7.26–27
Any structure that has survived since ancient times had a foundation. Anyone who survives this life and experiences joy at the Judgment will have listened to and obeyed the Lord Jesus Christ, making him and his teachings the foundation of life.
However, ignore him and, even as all structures without good foundations from the past have not survived, so shall it be for the person who does not live the words of Jesus Christ.
- Would you buy a home without a foundation?
- If not, are you creating a life that is not founded on the Lord Jesus?
