New Testament: Luke 18.16
To read the Bible in a year, read Luke 18.1–17 on April 21, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021
By Don Ruhl
How many little children have you known who did not love Jesus, especially after they have learned from and about him? I am going to guess that you answered, None, but if not, then the small number was very small.
However, during his ministry when people brought their children to Jesus that he might touch them, the disciples tried to stop it, probably thinking that someone as important as Jesus could not be bothered with children.
Then the disciples learned what Jesus thought of children, after he called the children to himself, he said to the disciples:
But Jesus called them to Him and said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.”
– Luke 18.16
Everyone learned just how much Jesus valued children, because he compared the kingdom of God to them.
- Have you tried to keep children away from a preacher?
- Have you taught your children the way of the Lord?
