New Testament: Acts 11.19–21
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 11 on July 3, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021

How can we get more people in the church? It seems to me that we increase our chances of growing the number of believers by speaking to more people, which is what the early church did:
Now those who were scattered after the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to no one but the Jews only. But some of them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus. And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number believed and turned to the Lord.
– Acts 11.19–21
As long as they preached to Jews only, their numbers would be limited, but when they started including the Hellenists, those with a Greek background, they opened the doors for many more people to become believers and turn to the Lord, because that would open the minds of the church to go even beyond the Hellenists, and we can see the results today, that the church covers the globe.
Questions:
- Have you ever spoken to anyone, other than members of your congregation, about anything biblical?
- Have you invited people to your church services?
