Paul declared that we all must stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ that we may receive the things done in the body. That moved him into action: 

Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.

– 2 Corinthians 5.11 

What if we do not persuade people about the truth revealed in the Scriptures? What shall we say to the Lord at the Judgment? That moved Paul to persuade men of the truth.
