Old Testament: Eze 6.1–3
To read the Bible in a year, read Ezekiel 4–6 on November 13, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021

The Land of Canaan housed the children of Israel, but the land was again going to be hosting war. Therefore, the Lord said to Ezekiel:
Now the word of the LORD came to me, saying: “Son of man, set your face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them, and say, O mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD! Thus says the Lord GOD to the mountains, to the hills, to the ravines, and to the valleys: Indeed I, even I, will bring a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places.”
– Ezekiel 6.1–3
The land had produced wonderfully for Israel, but Israel had not produced wonderfully for the Lord. Therefore, the land had to host yet another army that would decimate the nation living there.
God created the earth for his people, but when his people sinned repeatedly against him, eventually the earth became hostile toward the people and war happened.
Questions:
- How is the land holding where your nation is?
- How many wars have been fought where you live?
