Do not sell the best

Old Testament: Eze 48.13–14

To read the Bible in a year, read Ezekiel 47–48 on December 2, In the year of our Lord 2021

By Don Ruhl

After showing Ezekiel a temple, the Lord then described the borders for the tribes of Israel in the land. Concerning the Levites, He said,

“Opposite the border of the priests, the Levites shall have an area twenty-five thousand cubits in length and ten thousand in width; its entire length shall be twenty-five thousand and its width ten thousand. And they shall not sell or exchange any of it; they may not alienate this best part of the land, for it is holy to the LORD.

– Ezekiel 48.13–14

That which was holy, they could not sell or exchange for something else. Likewise, if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, do not sell yourself for something that will take you away from Him. You belong to the Lord.

Questions:

  • What do you think of the Lord’s holy things?
  • Do you keep yourself for the Lord?
