Many Christians try to get ahead in the world the same way that the world does. Yet, we have examples in the Bible that show us how to live. If we would follow those examples, we could be exalted in ways that we never imagined.
Daniel provides one such example. Observe his humility. Kings noticed it. Kings and other world leaders may not notice you, but if you live as Daniel did, your excellent spirit will do things for you. Notice what the Bible says about Daniel:
It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom one hundred and twenty satraps, to be over the whole kingdom; and over these, three governors, of whom Daniel was one, that the satraps might give account to them, so that the king would suffer no loss. Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.
– Daniel 6.1–3
The king liked Daniel, but if you keep reading, you will discover that the rest of the governing leaders did not like him. Nevertheless, his excellent spirit brought him a victory over his enemies.
