Old Testament: Mic 7.14
To read the Bible in a year, read Micah 6–7 on December 21, In the year of our Lord Christ 2021
By Don Ruhl
The prophets often spoke of doom and gloom because the people needed to repent, but they refused to do it. However, for those who would repent, the prophet Micah could say to God when they repented:
Shepherd Your people with Your staff,
The flock of Your heritage,
Who dwell solitarily in a woodland,
In the midst of Carmel;
Let them feed in Bashan and Gilead,
As in days of old.
– Micah 7.14
Let us say it now to our Lord that he shepherd us, for we surely need it, not knowing the path that we should take in life.
Questions:
- Do you always ask things of the Lord?
- Do you ever give him anything in prayer?
