The Lord Jesus Christ used 12 men to spread the kingdom of heaven on earth, and in the process they changed the entire world. Several factors explain this phenomenon, but consider at least this one: 

So the disciples went and did as Jesus commanded them.

– Matthew 21.6 

Jesus told them what to do and they did it. In this case, it was getting a donkey for him to ride into Jerusalem, but they had that same obedience as they went out into the world, and that is why you now have a Bible and you enjoy all the blessings of Christianity.
