While roaming the earth, demons want a place to live, as demonstrated when a man possessed of many demons approached Jesus, and when he sought to cast the demons of the man, they made a request: 

Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country. Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains. So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.”

– Mark 5.10–12 

Demons may not inhabit people anymore in the same way that they did this man, but they still work their influence on this earth. 

They look for someone to turn to evil. Shall they find an audience with you, or shall you turn them away by your holy living? It is up to you.

Questions: 

• Why would demons want to inhabit swine? 
• Why were there swine in Israel since they are unclean?
