New Testament: Mark 15.19
To read the Bible in a year, read Mark 15.1–26 on March 15, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
The Roman soldiers saw Jesus and they did not think of Him as a king. Therefore, they sought to make fun of Him:
Then they struck Him on the head with a reed and spat on Him; and bowing the knee, they worshiped Him.
– Mark 15.19
Of course, they did not believe Him worthy of worship. Remember that He had a crown of thorns on His head when they took that reed and hit Him on the head. They insulted Him by spitting on Him. What did they think after they died and saw Him on His throne?
Questions:
- What does it mean to you that Jesus is the King?
- How do you honor Him?
