Old Testament: 2Sa 22.32–35
To read the Bible in a year, read Second Samuel 21–22 on April 29, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
The writer of Second Samuel included one of David’s great psalms toward the end of the Book. It is Psalm 18. I love what David said about God in this psalm:
“For who is God, except the LORD?
And who is a rock, except our God?
God is my strength and power,
And He makes my way perfect.
He makes my feet like the feet of deer,
And sets me on my high places.
He teaches my hands to make war,
So that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.”
– 2 Samuel 22.32–35
How true and how powerful are these words of King David! He knew that God is our everything and that he enables us to do whatever he wants us to do.
Adapt David’s words for your own prayer to God, and see what it does for your attitude toward God.
