New Testament: Acts 13.44
To read the Bible in a year, read Acts 13.24–52 on July 6, In the year of our Lord Christ 2022
By Don Ruhl
Paul and Barnabas experienced something that every preacher, I think, would love to see:
On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.
– Acts 13.44
That would be one of my wildest dreams! Instead, today, it is almost the whole city not coming together to hear the word of God.
Yet, we should not despair because things change; sometimes that change happens over night and sometimes it takes many years.
Just be patient and be ready when it does happen.
Questions:
- What does Sabbath mean?
- What would you do if almost the whole city that you despise, came together to hear the word of God? (Remember Jonah.)
